Pebbles B&B


Pebbles is a three storey Victorian building dating from the 1890’s with many original features. Sadly, this means the building is not always suitable for people with very limited mobility or sight impairment. Our Access Statement aims to describe the facility honestly to ensure that all our guests will be happy and comfortable during their stay.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

Pebbles is easily found virtually opposite the 50 feet high Victoria Jubilee Clock Tower, a local landmark. If you are driving, pull up outside and ring our doorbell – we will come out and offload your bags with you. Restricted roadside parking is available directly opposite. The nearest car park for which we supply a Free Parking Badge is just 2 minutes walk from the house.. All Seatons buses stop within 50 yards and local taxi’s are available.The shops, bars, restaurants and beach are within 100 yards.

Main Entrance & Ground Floor Public Areas

There are two steps up from the pavement to the small front garden and a further two steps up through the front door into the reception hallway. The small front garden has a level shale base and views to the sea 100 yards away.We have a table, bench seating and parasol for guests use. Once in the house, the reception area is over 6 feet wide and leads directly to the breakfast room. We have no guest lounge or separate public wc downstairs – all toilet facilities are those private to each individual room, all of which are upstairs.


All our three bedrooms are on either the 1st or 2nd floors and are accessed by 1 or 2 flights of stairs. We are available to carry guests luggage to their room and have many elderly guests who return regularly so most people can manage the stairs. The 1st flight leads directly off the reception hall and runs to 18 steps, the 2nd flight runs to 17 steps. Both have a full strong banister rail. If you are concerned about accessibility for any of your party and wish to book the first floor room then please mention this when you are booking. One room on each floor has an en-suite bathroom and the third and twin rooms have a private (not shared) bathroom within a couple of yards of the bedroom door. Each has an above average size corner shower cubicle, wc and basin. Three rooms have a king-size bed, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets and two chairs as well as tv/video and in room tea/coffee making facilities.

If any of your party are hearing or sight impaired then please let us know so that we can help in any way we can, for example, with the breakfast menu. Also, if anyone has any special requirements or dietary needs then again let us know at time of booking so that we can ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.


We are happy to store such items in our own fridge but will need to know when they will be needed in case we go out.
